Tie Siding is located in the southern part of Albany County. Like many towns in the area, Tie Siding was connected to the booming railroad industry in the 1860s. History has it that Edward Ivinson originally stopped here before deciding to continue on to Laramie, going on to build the historic Ivinson Mansion now known as the Laramie Plains Museum today.
