Description: History The Snowy Range Scenic Byway (Wyoming Highway 130) is located in southeast Wyoming and was originally a wagon road built in the 1870s. In the 1920s was widened and smoothed using horse-drawn equipment. The road was paved in the 1930s and designated as the nation’s second Scenic Byway in 1988. Description: Found off of exit 323 on I-80 east of Laramie, Happy Jack is a wonderful area for hiking, camping, mountain biking, cross-county skiing, snow shoeing and even home to trails for horseback riding. Trails ranging from .4 miles to 3 miles, there is enough space here to spend a whole day enjoying nature. This is apart of the Medicine Bow National Forest and a small fee is required per vehicle per day.
