Fundraiser to address the continued restoration and maintenance “Our Grand Lady Turns 90!”

On Saturday, November 10th, our club is putting on “Fall Festival for Our Grand Lady”. The log building came to exist through a Union Pacific land donation on which UP employees then built the magnificent structure for their families to have a family-friendly athletic club. Our event is part of UP’s 150th Anniversary Celebration here in Laramie. The building is #116 on Wyoming Historic Register.

Fun Activities Include:
– Craft Bazaar, Bake Sale & Silent Auction
– Luncheon & Soda Fountain
– Live Music & Dance Demonstrations (during the day)
– Horse Drawn Wagon Rides

The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be stopping in Laramie at the Wyoming Territorial Prison on Sunday, Nov 18, 2018, from 9:00-10:00 am. This FREE event will allow the public to see the tree that will be placed at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. for Christmas.

39th Annual 2019 Centennial Valley Art Show and Sale & Fundraising Event

Don’t miss the 39th Annual 2019 Centennial Valley Summer Art Show and Sale, a group fine art exhibition and free public art show featuring original photography, paintings, pottery, stained glass, sculptures, and more from more than 20 local and regional artists from rural South East Wyoming. The exhibition is hosed by the Centennial Valley Historical Association at the Nici Self Historical Museum in Centennial, Wyoming, located about 30 miles west of Laramie and 45 miles east of Saratoga at 2734 Wyoming Highway 130. A portion of the proceeds from every sale is donated to the Nici Self Historical Museum as part of their main annual fundraiser. The exhibition will be on display and open to the public Saturday, July 6th, 2019 from 9am to 6pm and Sunday, July 7th from 9am to 4pm. 

Included in the exhibition is Centennial, Wyoming based artist Allison Pluda of Seneca Creek Studios’ stunning and vivid metal print fine art photography featuring starscapes and landscapes including the Milky Way from outside of Medicine Bow National Forest as well as a new stunning panoramic landscape print of the Snowy Range Mountains. Other participating artists include Celeste Havener’s original oil paintings of the captivating beauty of the Centennial Valley as well as Tana Libolt and West Magoon of Muddy Mountain Pottery’s fun and functional stoneware, raku sculpture, and ceramic jewelry plus much more. We’d love for you to stop by and see the exhibition for yourself in person.
