Description: 20 Miles east of Laramie, along I-80 are the towering rocks of Vedauwoo, an Arapaho word meaning “Earth Born”. It provides backdrops for picnics, sight-seeing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, fishing, snow shoeing, and cross-country skiing. This is a fee area. Vedauwoo is best know for its varied rock climbing options. There are still many trails that offer amazing views and fresh air. Vedauwoo Glen Trail, Turtle Rock Trail and others range from under a mile to almost to three miles.

Description: Early in the morning of September 6, 1870, Louisa Ann Gardner Swain became the first woman in the world to cast a ballot under laws granting women the right to vote with full civil equality with men. This law was contained in the 1869 Wyoming Suffrage Act, the first of its kind anywhere in the world.
