Come to the “Old West” for the 2017 Laramie Jubilee Days. Our Grand Marshall will be Mr. Robert Fuller from the western TV show Laramie. He will talk about his memories of the show and sign autographs at the nightly rodeo and at the Wyoming Territorial Prison, July 14-15. Description: Fort Sanders was a wooden fort constructed in 1866 on the Laramie Plains in southern Wyoming, near the city of Laramie. Originally named Fort John Buford, it was renamed Fort Sanders after General William P. Sanders who died at the Siege of Knoxville during the American Civil War. This was the second fort to be named after Sanders, the first being in Knoxville, Tennessee. The fort was originally intended to protect travelers on the nearby Overland Trail from Indian attacks

Description: Bearing the name of legendary University of Wyoming Athletics Director Glenn "Red" Jacoby (1946-73), the Jacoby Golf Course is located at the east side of the UW campus in Laramie. Jacoby Golf Course is one of the unique public courses in the nation. It is located 7,220 feet above sea level and measures 6,855 yards to play.

Description: Found off of exit 323 on I-80 east of Laramie, Happy Jack is a wonderful area for hiking, camping, mountain biking, cross-county skiing, snow shoeing and even home to trails for horseback riding. Trails ranging from .4 miles to 3 miles, there is enough space here to spend a whole day enjoying nature. This is apart of the Medicine Bow National Forest and a small fee is required per vehicle per day.
